YSJ GRADUATION SHOW (2021)

At York St John, my degree show was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the first lockdown. As a result, I graduated eighteen months later. The course leaders held a mini version of our degree show alongside the course graduation. The work that I exhibited, I would have liked to have shown on a much larger scale had the original show taken place.

KINGSTON DEGREE SHOW (2021)

This was the final showing of my work from my MA course at Kingston. It was an exciting event largely because most of our course had been online, due to Covid-19. It took place at a venue called "Kachette" in Shoreditch. Due to a high number of the students being international, a lot of them returned to their home countries, leaving twenty students exhibiting out of the fifty-two students. The whole show was planned and organised by the students; you can see my contribution in my work experience section. It was great to be able to show my work in front of a public and professional audience.

YOUNG ARTISTS IN SUFFOLK (FLUX) EXHIBITION (2021)

The YAIS instagram team reached out to me to participate in their digital show "FLUX". This was an exhibition with the theme 'journeys', in which this concept could be interpreted in any way the creator saw relevant. I used previous pieces from my Masters, as I felt my practice was a journey of improvement in skills and knowledge, along with being a continued learning experience throughout the pandemic.

CRITICAL TEXT SHOW (2021)

These are images from 'The Critical Text Show', a part of my Critical Text project, at Kingston University. This was a virtual show hosted by my course, Kingston University and The Stanley Picker Gallery. I was part of the social media team (of which you can see my individual contribution in my work experience section). This show was online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

THE SOCIAL DISTANCE ART PROJECT (TSDAP) (2020)

The Social Distance Art Project, is a project that some of my fellow York St John students set up in response to the cancellation of our degree shows due to coronavirus. The project aimed to showcase and give a platform to all final year creative students across the country, showing their work, drawing attention from the industry. They have an instagram and website full of content and artistic inspiration; I am featured in both.

ART AESTHETICA (2020)

In 2020, the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in many degree shows being cancelled. At York St John, we were lucky to have the opportunity to be featured on the Art Aesthetica magazine website and within their physical magazine pages of their May/June edition. They picked a small selection of students' images to be in their magazine. I was fortunate enough to have a feature within the pages. Every student was showcased online. This was a great alternative for the degree show, although missing the live show was still a massive disappointment.

COLLAGE EXHIBITION (2020)

This exhibition was a York St John internal exhibition for any students, using collage as a medium.

NORMAN REA EXHIBITION (2020)

In 2020, I was contacted by a York University art group called Norman Rea. Via my instagram account, I was asked to be featured in their "Upcoming Artists of the North" exhibition, at York University. It was a privilege to be asked and to take part.

YSJ WINTER SHOW (2020)

This show was my YSJ mid-year show, putting into practice the skills I would need for a degree show. There were three venues for the show; I was selected to exhibit in a church community hall. This worked well for me as my work (magazine project 2020) looked especially effective next to the stained glass. I was an essential part of the marketing team for the show, which you can see in my work experience section.

SOLO EXHIBITION (2019)

As part of my second year at York St John, I had to exhibit my work professionally. I independently sourced a location to do this in. This could have been: a space in a cafe, shop or gallery. I was lucky, as I had kept in contact with my school art department which had just installed an exhibition space. My teacher offered it to me for a few days which enabled me to hold a private viewing. I found the whole process exciting and the viewing night incredibly enjoyable.

WYDALE (2017)

This public exhibition was my first collaborative project at York St John. I visited the Wydale estate and with my group, developed a project idea from our surroundings. Together we got to install and exhibit or work for visitors to see.

A LEVEL EXHIBITION (2017)

These images show the work I exhibited at my A-Level Exhibition.
