MATERIALITY OF TEXT MA (2020)

This project is one of two from the beginning of my MA at Kingston University. The 'Materiality of Text' project was one where I was able to establish my own design practice. It allowed me to explore themes and designs I was passionate about, creating work and research surrounding them. My project focused on degrading words, directed at women specifically. I explored how women are affected by these phrases that are negatively used to describe them; I developed the phrases into new concepts. I used distortion, typography and fictional characters to depict my work leading me to receive a high commendation for this project.
